Why don't I care about my academic future?

Quit school--it looks as if you'll be flunking out anyway. Get a job at your level of education and move out on your own and live on that level of subsistence. That may change your mind. But then, maybe unconsciously, you're trying to do that anyway...Fear of becoming an adult and having to support yourself THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! You'll have to do that at some point in your life...Or you could just live off your folks as long as they let you and as long as they live. We all have to make our own goals in life! What is good for one, may not be good for others! One other possibility is that you could plan on college! And focus in on your strengths and interests. See your School Counselor and ask to take some Vocational Interest tests...that might help you focus in on your future. Growing up is inevitable---the alternative should not be. BUT maybe your folks would welcome a "stay-at-home" son---one who will take care of them in their old age!
