Minecraft will not run on my computer?

I have all my hardware drivers set up, my computer is exceptionally fast, and I have downloaded stuff before and it worked fine. I bought Minecraft, and I downloaded it but it won't run. Whenever I try to run it, it always makes that windows error sound. I have checked mostly everything, and nothing has helped. Can someone please help me?
