How do you become a part-time model? I'm a college student?

Hi, I'm in college in Denver and I'm tired of minimum wage jobs because I don't get enough hours to make any money. I'm 5'8'' and fairly thin (but not super skinny) and my friends say I'm cute, but I'm not exceptionally pretty or anything. Is there some website or business that could give me information on how to apply for modeling for magazines or retail stores? Is that possible?
