Is it true that Mazdas handle exceptionally well?

I keep hearing that Mazdas (specifically the Mazda3 and Mazda6) handle the best out of all the cars in their class. Is there really a noticeable difference in handling/ how fun they are to drive between Mazda and competitors like Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, etc?
